Franjo von Allmen: Aiming for Consistency Ahead of Crans-Montana 2027 Worlds
At just 24, Franjo von Allmen has already etched his name in gold letters in the history of Swiss alpine skiing, having won three Olympic gold medals. As the skiing community gears up for the FIS World Ski Championships set to take place in Crans-Montana in February 2027, this promising athlete is now focusing on improving his consistency in races.
The preparation for these World Championships presents a significant challenge, not only for von Allmen but also for the entire Swiss team aiming to shine on home soil. Crans-Montana, with its renowned slopes, provides an ideal backdrop for such competitions. The economic and media benefits for the Valais region are also considerable, underscoring the importance of this event.
However, von Allmen has voiced concerns regarding the International Ski Federation's (FIS) plans to increase the frequency of World Championships. He advocates for an approach that prioritizes the quality of competitions over the proliferation of events, aiming to preserve the spirit and excitement surrounding these unique moments in the sports calendar.
His commitment to enhancing his consistency will undoubtedly translate into high-level performances at the 2027 Worlds, where he will seek to add titles to his already impressive record. Swiss supporters, along with the locals of Crans-Montana, will undoubtedly be present to cheer on their champion. In the meantime, von Allmen continues to work hard to achieve his goals, aware that each competition is a new opportunity to prove his worth on the global stage.
